Basically turns your palms blue. The coating on this pad seems to wear down really easily just from basic palm sweat. The spot were my wrist rests on the mousepad is slightly rough and literally turquoise colored. This seems to be the result of the aluminum oxidizing or something. Will probably be replacing this pretty soon and won't be buying it again.

This is a nice aluminum mousepad that fits exactly the space I needed it for. It's working great for me, but after a couple of months use, the black surface where my palm has a tendency to rest has changed from black to a teal/blue colour. I'm guessing it's the black surface coating wearing out. It's not affecting the use or feel of the surface, so it's a somewhat trivial problem.
