Additional hardware (e.g. Blu-ray drive, HD or 10-bit monitor, TV tuner) and/or software (e.g. multimedia applications) are required for the full enablement of some features. Not all features may be supported on all components or systems - check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities and supported technologies.
AMD Eyefinity technology works with games that support non-standard aspect ratios, which is required for panning across multiple displays. To enable more than two displays, additional panels with native DisplayPort™ connectors, and/or DisplayPort™ compliant active adapters to convert your monitor’s native input to your cards DisplayPort™ or Mini-DisplayPort™ connector(s), are required. Support for six simultaneous displays may require complementary products compatible with DisplayPort 1.2 Multi-Stream Transport. Maximum number of configured displays may vary - check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities and supported technologies. SLS (?Single Large Surface?) functionality requires an identical display resolution on all configured displays.
AMD App Acceleration is a set of technologies designed to improve video quality and enhance application performance. Full enablement of some features requires support for OpenCL™, DirectCompute or DirectX® Video Acceleration (DXVA). Not all products have all features and full enablement of some capabilities and may require complementary products.
AMD PowerPlay™ and AMD PowerTune are technologies offered by certain AMD Radeon™ products, which are designed to intelligently manage GPU power consumption in response to certain GPU load conditions. Not all products feature all technologies – check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities.
AMD HD3D is a technology designed to enable stereoscopic 3D support in games, movies and/or photos. Requires 3D stereo drivers, glasses, and display. Not all features may be supported on all components or systems – check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities and supported technologies. A list of supported stereoscopic 3D hardware is available at http://www.amd.com/HD3D.
AMD CrossFire™ technology requires an AMD CrossFire Ready motherboard, an AMD CrossFire™ Bridge Interconnect (for each additional graphics card) and may require a specialized power supply.
Utilization of PCI Express 3.0 bandwidth requires a mainboard equipped with a PCI Express 3.0 PHY. Not all mainboards feature this technology – check with your component or system manufacturer for specific model capabilities.
Projected AMD CrossFire™ scaling based on analogous GPUs from previous generations of AMD Radeon™ products.

Reviews from the Web
Below are reviews found on other web sites for this product submitted by customers.
In today’s graphics card market, the AMD Radeon HD 7970 comfortably sits at the top of the hierarchy thanks to CGN architecture, 384-bit memory interface and 925MHz clock speed. However, since the reference HD 7970 core can scale well beyond 1000MHz, most AMD board partners offer an overclocked SKU
At this point in time XFX’s biggest advantage is that they’re the only vendor offering an open air cooler.
...
Regardless of the resolution and anti-aliasing setting used, the BEDD’s lead on the reference 7970 is always 7-8%

This is a great card, but it runs hotter than my Sapphire 7970 OC cards and the fan is much louder. It's a little slower than the Sapphire's, but nothing significant. Lack of extra adapters is insignificant given you have the right PSU connectors, but Sapphire cards come with 2 PCI-e > Molex and a DVI > VGA. Nice if you need them, luckily for this card I didn't.

Just bought and installed my 2nd card for crossfire with a 6 core i7 just benchmarked bioshock infinity at res ultra settings avg fsp 123 with bioshock benchmark, works awesome on every game ultra settings, bf3, crysis3, i am in love with this card... Buy it you won't be disappointed

Replaced 5870 crossfire. Overclocked it to 1050/1500 with max temp at 61 and 37 idle. Feels like I can overclock it more but not worth pushing it too hard. With the old gpus get good fps (90-120) on all medium setting for bf3. Now mix off ultra and high setting with same or higher fps (95-130)then older setup. With 120htz monitor this gpu shines .

Be warned that if you're buying this card with the intention of overclocking you will be sorely disappointed. XFX made a mid-run, poorly documented change of the PCB of this board so it is NOT A REFERENCE board and so you can NOT get a full coverage water block.
I just got this card about a week ago. I don't think I'm a complete idiot when it comes to overclocking, but by no means a pro. I've tried to use the AMD utility and other utilities as well, and they seem to "work". However, when I go to play a game, my frame rates drop to around 20fps and never go higher, even with decreasing all the graphics options. I'm not sure whats wrong. Still giving the card a 4/5 because it's plenty powerful for everything I play on it. Crysis 2 with everything at max ~60fps+
This video card will make your computer a monster that takes any challenging games out there to the ground .just name the game and your FPS would not drop Less than 40 , knowing that the card alone is not the right thing , you will also need a i5 with a nice motherboard and power supply of at least 750W. then we will talk power .
The MHZ version is providing more performance , but the 900 ghz version should be enough for you to play in a peace of mind for the next 2 years .
