Bought this when it was on sale. Don't know when I will be able to fill 2 TB, but still a great price for the capacity. The only issue I had with this is on some random days the computer would freeze for 2 sec just to access the hard drive, as I use my SSD for my OS.

Used this in a NAS which is not heavily used and mainly is on standby so a couple of these drives fit the bill for reasonable $ per GB. The drive performance easily keeps up with the budget NAS network interface. I was using Hitachi ( now Toshiba) drives for a long time but have had good luck with Seagate like I had with Hitachi.

Got one last year and was happy with the perfomance, so i bought another one for my brother. Using both of them as data drive. So far so good. Decent drives, cheap, not as fast as WD black but it's ok, it's only for storage.

There isn't really a premium brand of platter based hard drives anymore, so it's whatever has the best price point for the capacity needed. This time, seagate filled the bill for a couple 2TB HDs.
I bought this drive approximately nine months ago. It worked for about 3 months before it crapped out on me with S.M.A.R.T. errors along with bad sectors. I RMA'd it and the one they sent back to me lasted about 1 month before the exact same problems started to occur. I just sent in a new RMA request and hopefully the third time really is the charm.
