This drive is a very cool, silent, reliable drive. I have 2 of them right now, and not a problem with either, other than the few bad sectors i had to weed out at the beggining. This drive is definitely worth the price, especially with a 5 year warranty.

I have seen other reviewers say this drive was noisy. I think the quality of your case makes the difference in sound. A cheap case will amplify more noise. The drive for me is wisper quiet in an old Dell GX240 tower case. This case is super solid, like a ton of bricks.

It's good to have 5 years warranty but only 2MB and kind of noiser then other HDD like my Maxtor, specially when loading.

Solid hard drive that come with good warrantly of a 5 years long 2 more than maxtor and western. ive being perfectly sastified by this hard drive for my younger brother computer

Not much more to say, this is a great hard drive. I love Seagate and there great warranty! They make good, quiet, stable drives and I've never had any problems with a Seagate HDD which is all I use when building computers. Thanks again Seagate, and NCIX for a great value for a beginner/intermediate user!

For a basic PC, this is more than enough without breaking the bank. Only 2MB cache instead of 8, so while it won't break any speed records, having a 5 year warranty is great.

When i bought my new pc i was looking for a decent hard drive, i'm not a hueg downloader so ididn't ned to spedn 100+$ on a 200gig hd. When i saw this was 65$ and an 80giger i was like ok, my buddy also just bought one and it seemed really good.
