The Accelero XTREME Plus II is here to satisfy overclockers and silent enthusiasts with unmatched cooling performance. Bundled with a set of RAM and VR heatsinks, it is compatible with a wide range of VGA boards straight out of the box.
Significant Cooling Performance
Employing the award-winning design of the Accelero XTREME series, the Accelero XTREME Plus II comes with 300 Watts of cooling capacity, which gives plenty of headroom for overclocking. It is constructed of an 83-fin aluminum heatsink with 5 copper heatpipes to deliver superior cooling performance. Pre-applied with our flagship thermal compound MX-4, efficient heat dissipation of the components are guaranteed.
Enhanced RAM and VR Cooling
The Accelero XTREME Plus II comes with the G-1 thermal glue, which is an electrically non-conductive glue used to affix RAM and VR heatsinks on the VGA board. It is especially formulated to offer excellent thermal conductivity with long-lasting adhesiveness of over 10 years. Moreover, removing the G-1 is as easy as removing a thermal tape.
Virtually Silent
With three PWM-controlled 92 mm fans, the Accelero XTREME Plus II cools extremely efficient yet is almost silent. Thanks to the PWM control, the fan spins accordingly to the temperature of the GPU. This means, the fan just spins up if necessary and will rest at minimum speed otherwise. PWM settings can be modified to fix the priorities between performance and noise. Multi-Compatible*
Besides it is CrossFire and SLI compatible, the Accelero XTREME Plus II comes with a versatile and interchangeable mounting mechanism along with 31 pieces RAM and VR heatsinks to fit different models. New accessory sets will be available to make the VGA cooler compatible with future models.

Even though I price matched it to substantially less than the asking price, it is still quite expensive. My GTX 480 with the stock (overclocked to 780 core clock mem 1955, 1050mV) would idle around 50c and load would get up to 93c, with the fan at 80% and loud! With the new cooler I have overclocked the card even further (851 core clock, 2095 mem clock, 1063mV) and now the card idles at 39 and jumps to 74c. That is nearly 20c cooler than with the reference, after hefty increase in overclock! And the best part is that the fan is only at 65% at that temp, and even at 100% the fan is hardly audible.

This thing was a bit of a pain to install. A pain in the way that the instructions didn't tell me much about heatsink placement etc. I figured it out via google, and once that was overwith, it was a breeze. After the 5 hour cure time for the thermal glue (which I highly recommend you stick to), I installed this bad boy on my 6970.
I bought this for the Silverstone FT-02 case and was worried about the orientation of the video card cooler. Everything seems to be fine though. The temps in this orientation for my 6950 is around 40-50 idle and maxes out around 65-70 while playing games. It's not as cool as my previous case (most likely due to the orientation) but at least it's not shooting up to the 90's like I've seen in some reviews!

I like this cooler, BUT...I can't plug it into my XFX 6870, nor can I plug it into my NZXT Sentry LX due to not having adaptors. It's got an adaptor for a 4-pin molex, but none for 3-pin. Also, it gets VERY loud when playing games even though temps remain very low. Skyrin on Ultra with the texture pack, BF3 full res, etc all bring the fan noise up quite a lot, but I don't 'really' mind since the temps remain very much lower than with the stock HSF. I just wish I could use my controller to lower fan speeds a 'bit'. Once I stop the game the fan speeds drop to very quiet very quickly, so that good. My wife hates it.

I have bought a lot of hardware from NCIX and always got my items quickly. But if something doesn't work the way you want it to and they have their little asterisk beside the item, they will flat out refuse to take it back. Something to think about when your not 100% sure something will work. Don't chance it or you will be stuck with a overpriced piece of junk.
