Adjustable Fan Speed Controller
FAN MATE 2, an adjustable fan speed controller, is included for performance and noise level setting according to user preference.
Environment Friendly Design
Only environment friendly materials are used for compliance with the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standard of the European Union.
Zalman affixes a Computer Noise Prevention System (CNPS) mark to all components used for noiseless computers.
This cooler is specifically optimized and designed for reference VGA card NVIDIA GeForce GTX580, GTX570.
By installing this product on a VGA (Video Graphics Array) card, two PCI slots immediately below the PCIe (or AGP) slot occupied by the VF3000F will become unusable.
If this product is to be installed on a recently released VGA card, please check for compatibility at Zalman’s website first.
If the VGA card and/or its components interfere with the installation of this product, then stop the installation, refer to the list of compatible VGA cards or motherboards at Zalman’s website, and install this product with one of the compatible VGA cards or motherboards.
Do not ingest the Thermal Grease, and avoid its contact with skin and eyes. If contact is made with skin, wash off with water. If ingested or any irritation persists, seek medical attention.
To prevent possible injuries, gloves must be worn while handling this product.
Excessive force exerted on the fan may cause damage to the fan and/or system.
Please keep out of reach of children.
Check the components list and condition of the product before installation. If any problem is found, contact the retailer to obtain a replacement.
During transportation of the system, the cooler must be removed. Zalman is not responsible for any damages that occur during the transport of a system.
Product design and specifications may be revised to improve quality and performance.

For the reason of silence alone, I could possibly understand the appeal of a cooler like this, but given its price and the fact that it takes up three slots, it's not for everyone.

Wow, full load (furmark) temps dropped from 89 degrees celcius to 52 degrees with 100% fan (somewhat louder than stock). With fan controller turned down to ~50% (approx same dba as case) load temp at 56 degrees. Idling at 34 degrees in a warm room. Relatively easy install.

Don't get this if you're uncomfortable with disassembling a $500 video card. Putting it all together takes a bit of effort but in the end you're rewarded with a powerful card that stays cool and quiet. My GTX 580 idle temps are 35-40 degrees Celsius, 60-65 under load with MSI Kombustor benchmarking and Batman Arkham City. The fan is powerful enough to keep things cool even with big overclocks. Right now my GTX 580 is at 900/1800/2150 with the voltage maxed out 1.138V. The cooler is as quiet as the Twin Frozr II on my MSI GTX 470. I have a Cooler Master HAF 932 case.

I can't say a single thing bad about this product, put it on an EVGA 580gtx 3GB, and am able to raise the voltages now no problem for some solid OCing. It looks very cool beside my blue Zantec CPU cooler.
Installed on my MSI GTX570 GPU.........without Zalman VF3000F I was getting Temps up tp 80C......after intalling VF3000F max temp was only 50C.....very pleased
