Bought this for my HTPC that was running out of space. Great for this purpose. The drive is quiet and provides large space. It runs at 5900rpm but that is okay for my media.
I've had these for a year or more now, three of them actualy, running 24/7 most of that time in a little acer home server I use for bit torrent and supplying media to my various devices. Haven't had any issues at all except that they are now all over 95% full and I need more. Not buyin them at this price though.
this thing has lasted me for 7 months and counting, and i have been a loyal seagate customer for as long as i can remember. Amazing product, but wait until the hard drive crisis ends. (bought at $95 originaly)

I have had some issues with Seagate drives in the past, but those were a specific line that had issues. Willing to give them another try considering the customer reviews are comparable to other Green hard drives. So far so good.
