I live in a house, where the router is located upstairs, and there are many walls in between. I have a laptop, and the signal reception is a total disaster. I got lag when i played games, and some times open up google could take me 1 min. Only 2 bars of signal on the right downside of windows task bar. Now, I HAVE 5 BARS! and no more lag in game! if you are having the same trouble with laptop! this is the best deal i can think of!

I bought two of these at the same time. One for an XP machine, the other for a Win7 machine. The first one would not connect to either machine for more than a couple of seconds, then was basically "not visible". I tried the second one and it did not show up at all in Device Manager.
Bought this to connect an XP machine to a router in the basement and it works great. Connects at 802.11n speeds to a Telus wireless router, the one you get with Optik package. I especially like the removable antenna which means you can connect up higher power antennas from companies like Superpass, etc.

my father bought this on july 24th 2011 , picks up alot of wifi connections from my house my built in wifi card in laptop only picked up 4 connections and this device picked up 14 connections all around great device gonna try it next week with a 15dbi antenna instead of the 5dbi antenna that came with it.
