Replaced my 4850. With the 4850, the game would run around 20-30 fps with maximum detail settings. I have been waiting too long for Fallout 3 and I couldn't live with that so I upgraded and now framerates are up around 60. The stock cooler will do the job but you will have to choose between high temperatures and high noise from the fan. If you're planning to use 3rd party cooling, I recommend picking up
I normally go NVDIA for my builds, but the reviews this GPU was getting were just phenomenal for a single slot card. And it is. My monitor only supports up to 1280x1024, but I can set everything else up to absolute highest and there's been no slowdown whatsoever. XFX offers a lifetime warranty, so I have absolute confindence in the reliability. Just note that you need to manually set the fan speed to 30-38% in the overclocking panal. If left to automatic, it only runs at about 20% and will idle at over 60 degrees. At 30%, it's down to low 40s when idle and the extra noise isn't noticable.
I have owned this card for 3 weeks now and have thoroughly tested it in every way I could possibly think of with spectacular results! I previously owned an EVGA geforce 9800 gtx+, the expensive one(=P), and this card has squashed it in every way.
I loaded up Fallout3 tonight for the first time and the game automatically set all settings to Ultra-High, with AA maxed out resulting in a jaw dropping chin injury. I've never had a single card solution that could put out that much of a workload before!

Has flickering textures in all of my games except crysis. I've been trying to find a solution so far I haven't been successfull. XFX support is VERY slow in responding ( 1 response in 8 days)
