I bought this ram for a game build with an ASUS P6X58D-E. Have not had any problems yet but I have been reading that putting this ram in all the banks, it fails I hope it doesn't I am very hesitant on buying a second set now.

Matched these to an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe motherbaord on a new system build. They were certified by ASUS for this motherboard and worked, error free, right from day one. This is my first machine with 6GB in it and I am very pleased with the results of this memory. Would definately check the compatibility with your MB first.

Might of just been an issue with the batch I had, however I could not get 2 sets to work as 12gb on my Gigabyte X58 motherboard. All 6 sticks passed memtest as 6gb kits, however once you combined the two the desktop would not load.
Although I had no plans to overclock this RAM, I was advised to use Asus automatic overclock feature to get the most out of my system. As sound as I did so, a few hours later, my system crashed. I checked the Asus boards and the culprit is this particular RAM. I paid over $173 for this, that's $100 more than what it's going for now. I am tempted to get rid of this ram and get another.

G Skill was really my third choice of RAM but right before Christmas there wasn't any Corsair or Mushkin in stock in the same price range. Wasn't willing to wait so I held my breath and bought this kit. Like many others, I was disapointed to discover that it would not run at 1600. Tried setting it manually and still no luck. I read that someone had talked to a guy from G Skill and was advised to run it in XMP mode and that it had worked. Now that it's in XMP it does indeed run at 1600 although I have had one boot failure "Overclock has failed" (nothing is overclocked). RAM passes memtest but I still wish I had gone with Corsair or Mushkin for the peace of mind. No biggie though.

Bought this RAM to put in an x58 system. Gives me lots of headroom for overclocking. Leaves one less thing to worry about since the RAM can go up to 1600mhz, possibly even further.

I purchased these for an X58 board and because the exact model was on Asus' certified list. XMP profile works perfectly, memtest zero problems. I'm extremely happy with G.SKILL and would certainly consider the brand again in the future.

This ram does its job and does it well. I have mine overclocked to 1700Mhz (850mhz) speeds and that's about all it will take and is not really responsive at all to voltage increases for overclockability. My past 2 PCs I've built I've only used G.Skill ram. It has never let me down and I can happily say it is the only RAM I will buy in the future!
