Great processor, works excellent with the Asus M3A78-EM as a 1080p HTPC. A bit pricy for its performance, but the low power consumption makes up for this.
Great processor for budget builds. I used this in one of my home servers and I have no complaints. The Fan that comes with the cpu is fairly quiet, but i plan to replace it in the future because its still a noise i would like to remove

These are perfect for low power and low cost machines. I have it paired with an Asus M3A78-EM and 4gb of G.Skill PC2-8000 for my friends HTPC. He's as happy as a clam.

Have this paired with Asus m2a-VM-hdmi motherboard for a HTPC. This was a switch from a 5200 65watt piece. I never noticed any power savings on the lower end. Probably due to an inefficient (non 80+) power supply and the min power of the motherboard. Never seems to get pushed hard with video playback, haven't tried blu-ray drive yet so will have to see about that.
I would have no trouble recommending for a HTPC setup. Looking forward to some low watt Phenom II's.

Bought this for my HTPC, works well. First AMD I've ever had so opening the CPU box was new to me, as I didn't recognize anything haha. But it was simple enough. Works well in my HTPC, cool and quiet, though it does have some bumps that it struggles, so I may do some research and overclock it some - but it's nothing big. Only when loading large videos or starting to buffer a Blu-Ray does it stutter, but after that it runs perfectly fine.
