With the front panel audio enabled, users can connect a second microphone without any reduction of input signal levels. Front Panel Audio function supports auto detection of resistance levels. When a user connects headphones to the Front Panel Audio, the analog outputs of the sound card will be muted automatically while connecting computer speakers will not mute the analog outputs. This advanced feature checks the impedance level of the device connected to the Front Panel Audio. Headphones have higher resistance levels than typical computer speakers

Got this onsale for $85 to replace my onboard sound causing click when I changed channel with MCE. Fixed the problem.

Very glad i got this card cause i was getting interferences with my onboard sound. Installation was a breeze with XP Pro SP2, sound is great, software is easy to use, and haven't had a problem in the 2 months i've been using it. Recommended.

got this card because i was wanting to finally be able to use the front audio jacks on my case and is very noticeably better sound than my Creative Audigy 2. though i just get it for change as i am a big fan of Creative sound cards and as opposed to what other say Creative drivers are flawless when it come to Vista.

I used to have the montego ddl from turtle beach but after upgrading to vista x64 i was having alot of problem so i decided to purchase this and i don't regret it. Driver support is great and they recently released drivers for win7. Have it hooked up to my receiver via optical for watching movies and the sound is great either through my speakers or headphones.

Really nice little card that I grabbed at 82$. It works flawlessly in XP and Vista 64. I don't think you need anything else. It render games, music and movies perfectly with an incredible clear sound. I always had creative products, but I gave this a chance and I am happy to have trust peoples overall feeling toward this card.

This card sounds fantastic, I upgraded from on board sound and am amazed at the difference. Using this with some Edifier S330D speakers through the optical input. Highly recommended.

I admit that I was hesitant at first on buying this card... however now that I have bought it I couldn't be more pleased with it. This card replaced an Audigy card and the difference is BIG! This baby is running in an HTPC together with a logitech Z5500 5.1 and it works great!

upgraded from SB X-Fi XtremeMusic, also bought ION 3m opitcal calbe(DON`T BUY MONSTER), wow what a different, paired with Edifier S330D, you should try it if you are still using non optical sound card. and don`t pay for brand name calbe like monster, ION is good enough.
