I bought this on sale for a very low price of $1.99, so I cannot complain. Although the "Night Light" has nearly non existent light output, it does serve to show that the outlet is powered.
For $2.99 on sale, these are decent units. The nightlight is a joke though - doesn't provide any useable amount of light. I would only recommend these for those who are going ot be plugging in regular types of plugs....the plugs that have an integrated power brick are too wide and will block the adjacent slots. These are good in the bathroom for hair dryers, electric razors, etc.

It's really just a low light activated power indicator. The light produced is near non existent, and orange? wtf. I'm sure there's a use for this somewhere but I can't think of one. A better deal would be buying a 6 port power bar from NCIX which has an on off switch.

I bought three of these when they were on sale on Black Friday for $2.99 each. At the time the description stated they were a "Philips 3 Outlet Wall Surge Protector w/ Automatic Night Light". The first thing that I noticed when I received them was that the packaging clearly stated "THIS IS NOT A SURGE PROTECTOR" on the back. That's the only issue I've had with them so far. They are still a great product. They just don't provide surge protection.

Not bad for $3 on sale, but don't expect to use the light for anything as it is the dimmest night light I have ever seen. The light is orange, perhaps if it was white it would be brighter. I do however like the fact that the lower socket is free for most regular size plugs AND when used on a switch/outlet combo I can still turn the light on and off (as long as the switch is a narrow toggle) I am giving 4 stars because of this, otherwise 3 stars for sale price.
