So I purchased this board and was hoping set up would be a breeze. Simple HTPC set up using the APU for video output. Dropped in a a10-5800k and to my surprise, the video output is corrupted when would hang when installing windows 7. Default voltages are set quite high (makes it run hotter than it's supposed to, ram timings and speed detection is off as well. The kicker is that this board simply does not work without updating the bios. For people who are new to computers or are not as experienced, this board is not for you. After hours of trouble shooting, the problem exists as the bios that came with the board, bios 1.8 (currently 1.9), sets the onboard graphics voltage much too low. As a result, you get no video output, blue screens and a whole whack of problems. I personally would not recommend this board to anyone unless they are experienced. I was hoping Asrock's quality control would have done a better job.
