Business Friendly Features

The first two features make it easier to integrate the 840 PRO SSD into server and storage systems while the AES Encryption helps safeguard data against attack. By encrypting all information on the disk at the hardware level, there is no detrimental effect on performance.

I held off purchasing this due to the initial release's issues but once the new firmware resolved that issue (and was confirmed by testers/review sites, etc.), I decided to try it out, especially since it came with Far Cry 3 and AC3 at the time, the thing is indeed one of the fastest SSDs on the market.

Installed drive in early january. Ran very fast for two months and then died. Took a little while for Samsung to determine if the drive could be returned in Canada (it could not) so off to the US. Samsung insists that I do not need to follow UPS instructions regarding customs documents (I have it in an email). We will see. Guess I should have bought the extended coverage.

Wow, what a drive (so far). Replaced an 80GB Intel X25 SSD. Simple too, imaged the old one with Win7, put in the new one, restored it and back to where I was moments ago!
This is a fantastic drive. Installed without any issues at all on my big bang xpower running win 7 64 bit. definately faster the my old vertex 2 60 gb ssd (as it should be) Would definately recommend!

What can I say, this is one of the fastest drives around at the moment. Put it in, install the OS... VROOOOOOOM! Don't settle with the regular version, do jump the ship to the PRO. You get a SSD for speed, not for being lame and slow. Do buy this if you're jumping into SSD... unless of course you are going to put this SSD in some business laptop then that's a different story.
