Bought it for my girlfriend as she needed a new laptop for University. Cost wise it was awesone, she only needs a low end laptop top carry with word and power point....
For the price this machine is great. Everything looks and feels really solid. If anything comes across as slightly cheap it is the display. Coming from the retina MBP I use for work I guess that's not surprising. I bought this machine primarily for use at home so the limited battery life is not an issue for me. I really like the single compact power supply.
INPORTANT!!! IT CAN RUN STARCRAFT 2 WINGS OF LIBERTY!! i have used many many laptops, but I gotta say, that this one, is the best, it has very fast boot up even with hdd, i thought it was a ssd when i first booted up. it also has a fairly small charger.the restarting problem(it chokes), I think that's just the problem from windows 8 itself, but it gets better the longer you use it, and try unplugging the usb mouse if you have one on yours, it might work(worked for me!. i highly recommend buying this, if your looking for a small, powerful netbook-ish notebook!

I have owned many laptops over the years, and it is probably the best laptop all-around I have ever owned. Upon opening the box when receiving the unit, I almost fell of my chair. This laptop is superb, metal type cover and surrounding keyboard. Rubbery bottom. Small square charger ''a la Apple''. Turned on the computer and was greeted with a superb touchscreen and great speed. Windows 8 is meant to be on a touchscreen and this laptop delivers. A MUST buy if your looking for a small, speedy, well buit laptop. Bravo Asus!
