Likewise as said before...under 50 bucks WOW. Slapped into a 50 dollar FM2 board for an HTPC Netflix rig and bingo!
Stock heatsink set to Cool & Quiet in BIOS and this is running quiet and cool like it states. No problems running this rig all day/night watching TV, Facebook etc.

This is a steal at under $50. I purchased it to upgrade an aging HTPC with weak video. Very happy at the price. Not sure if the BIOS video glitch is due to the board or the FM2 graphics. Graphics performance is very good. CPU speed is good but not great. It's a very good CPU for HTPC but power users will want a quad core CPU.

Bought this to complement my ASRock FM2A75M-DGS Board for a budget build. Its not a powerful processor but for the price you can't expect much! It's slower then an Intel Sandy Dual Core Celeron but has a decent intergrated graphics beating out the Intel processor in that area. And temps are low even on the tiny heatsink that is included with the processor. For the average user I found that it is more then enough. Web browsing is smooth, office runs clean and Windows fairly quick. Even holds up in light gaming as well.
I needed a low powered processor for a bedroom media-pc and was debating whether to get a previous generation triple core A6 versus this new dual A4-5300. Granted, the A6 has a much better graphics (6530D) vs the A4's 7480D as well as having the benefit of a bigger cache but the A4's higher clock speed (3.4-3.6GHz) would probably fare better in single threaded applications compared to the A6's 2.1-2.4GHz. In the end, I decided to get the A4-5300 since it designed for the newer FM2 motherboard as opposed to the end-of-life FM1 A6-3500. Besides, I figured that if the processor was not enough, I could always upgrade to a low powered FM2 quad.
The only concern I had was the included cooler assembly which had a really lightweight aluminum heatsink and a small fan. (I could always purchase an aftermarket cooler, but I wanted to keep costs down). Testing the fan at full speed resulted in a very noticeable high pitched whine. Fortunately, I had a leftover OEM cooler assembly from a 95W FX-processor. This cooler had more heft and a slightly bigger fan. This cooler proved to be more than sufficient as well as quiet enough not to be heard inside the Core 1000 case. Right now, temps never exceed 45C
