Got this on sale for $30, it is the slowest USB I have ever used at 3MB/s, but I knew that it'd be slow before I bought it. If you're just using this to keep backups then you should be fine, but if you plan on using this USB to large files on a daily basis, look elsewhere.

For the 25$ it's really worth it! But if you have big files to transfer often... and need it to be done fast.. it's not really the best thing for you. BUT if you want to use it as a backup device or you are not concerned about slow transfer... BUY IT! The USB is good quality, not loose like some cheap usb stick you get on Ebay...

Good deal if you get it on sale, the transfer rate is bad, do not expect to use it for all your common files, but for use as a storage drive it is fine.

I had this drive for a week and tested it both on a mac and pc but got nothing but super slow transfer rates. For a 4 gb 720p mkv movie it takes about an hour. Rate dropped to about 2 MBps.
At its best it will write at a maximum of 4.5MB/Sec (3GB MP4 files)
Read speeds averaged out at 17MB/Sec. It took several hours to transfer my favorite vids (about 50 GB) to this stick. So long as you're not in a rush to transfer files, this thing is fine. Price is the biggest factor in buying this. 64GB for under 30 bucks is pretty good although flash mem pricing is dropping like a stone these days.

I fact speed for small files are good but for bigger files this thing is very very dlow. It can drop pretty fast to around 4 Mb/s and even 1.9 Mb/s in some case. They specified Read speed, right..
This USB is extremely handy and useful for transferring files from one computer to anther, or holding files on you. Some people may not like the design of the drive but other than that, its an very good product. Would recommend to those looking for a USB

All Patriot Memory SSD 100GB and 200GB "Inferno" Solid State Drives are offered with a five (5) year warranty. **Note: Effective January 31, 2011, Patriot Memory will be adjusting the warranty period from 5-years to 2-years and from lifetime to 5-years on selected USB flash drives. Patriot Memory believes that the new warranty period better reflects current industry standards. Patriot Memory's AES security enabled Bolt USB flash drive has a 5-year warranty period will not be affected by this change.
