Excellent chip for mid-high range PCs. Got mine clocked at 4.5GHz with only 1.14v stable with IBT. Had an i5 750 before this and the difference was quite noticeable in both boot times, and overall responsiveness. I was originally going to wait for Haswell but since the release date was pushed back I went for it.
Very happy with my purchase, won't have to upgrade for another 2-3 years.

I purchased this with the stock fan for my Father's pc. It is a speedy CPU even with only a mild OC. He is very happy with it and uses the pc to stream videos to his TV and mild gaming. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great CPU

I did a lot of research on CPU's before buying and chose this one; glad I did. I haven't finished my adjustments yet but I'm looking at 4.2 - 4.5 outcome. What can anyone say...INTEL RULES!

Until the next generation of processors, this will be the heart of all my future builds. You just can't beat it's speed and price in the Intel lineup, and only those who use multi-thread programs like Photohop would need more than four cores. (Gaming with this chip is sublime, and still perfectly within budget rigs restrictions)

I have this processor running on a Asus P8Z77-V Pro motherboard and also have a I5-2500K processor running on a P8Z68-V Pro motherboard. This processor runs a little hotter than my I5-2500K at 4.3Ghz even with the Antec H2O 920 on it as opposed to the Antec H2O 620 that's on the I5-2500K. The system runs great and there is no real cooling problem, just a few degrees hotter. Speed wise there isn't too much difference in the systems. Both are doing well and I would recommend either system.

Overclocked like a breeze and ran pretty cool considering the speed and voltage it got up to. At stock it ran very cool with a performance air cooler and even at stock it ran everything I threw at it very fast.
I actually like that it has 4 cores running at a decent stock speed since so few applications are multithreaded.
