The shipping version is the K400r which is different than the one in the photo. Lots more multimedia keys which have been overlayed on the F-keys. They are factory default, but if you are a gamer you can install the SetPoint software from the Logitech website. It allows you set the F-keys as the default. They've also added Windows 8 specific keys which you can reprogram with the same software.

When i bought this keyboard i thought that i would probably regret it after trying it. I was wrong. I got very good and precise after only 2 days. It is perfect for my htpc setup. I was wondering if i should buy a traditional remote control or a wireless keyboard with touch pad. I am glad i took a chance on this one.
I hate touch pads, dont expect the quality of whats on a macbook. its hard to find the sweet spot sensibility. closing a program in Win8 is a pain, Alt+F4 has to be done with a combination of presses due to the f keys being alternate functions. also, dragging the window down requires multiple swipes down the touchpad so you reach the bottom. if you go more sensible its too much.
I got this for $37 to use as a couch keyboard/mouse when browsing or watching videos on my 40" tv. haven't had any problems with it from as far as 5m away.
