It seems the current model shipping is the dual 6 pin connector Boost Edition cards. It's no longer the 8pin+6pin 7970 PCB card. Card is actually noticeably louder than my GB Windforce card though when maintaining the same temperature (regardless of it being top or bottom).

Be sure to install the latest drivers from AMD (12.11 beta as of January 2013) as older drivers seem to be causing rendering artifacts and glitches, that and the bundled overclocking software, MSI Afterburner, seemed redundant as of the current video drivers which already includes AMD Overdrive.
Far Cry 3 at 2560x1440 with ultra settings (4xMSAA) plays smooth and looks unimaginably good. Easy overclock in line with reviews. Silent to quiet, use depending.

All games 1920x1080 ultra settings play without any problems. Skyrim hd edition 50+ fps, Mechwarrior online 35+ fps, WOT 100+.
Very satisfying video card! The only downsize is that when under heavy stress, the noise levels increase significantly, but that is to be expected.

Solid card from ATI given the current price drops. Comparable with the GTX 670 at stock. Can compete with the HD 7970 and GTX 680 when overclocked.

Great card when it worked. It was great for gaming, and the FPS was amazing. I got this card because there was a sale for 305$. However the drivers that AMD gave were really bad. The drivers kept on unresponding then coming back to life. Later the card died on me. MSI's rma service is great, and really easy to deal with. Currently in RMA process, will update later.

I am very pleased with the card so far. I also got the 6+8 pin PCI-e power plug model (7970 pcb?) which was nice to see. I have not tried OCing it yet, just stock stress testing to see if the card is not DOA.
