seems to work well but I use it mostly for the 2.4Ghz band, so not sure how well it works in 5Ghz band. The dongle is very big and the end cap doens't mount on the other end like many similar dongle.

I purchased this adapter in conjunction with an Asus RT-N53 router and I am extremely impressed with performance and signal quality. I am using this adapter on the 5GHz band and have rock solid 5 bars from the other end of the house (60 Ft open air). Installation was extremely quick with the provided driver CD which at my time of purchase had the latest drivers from Asus. You can a short 4 inch usb extension cable made of flexible metal similar to a lamp to position the device on your pc for maximum signal quality. In fact the only negative point I can make is the size of the unit. Compared to most other wireless N adapters this is very large, and looks "goofy" when connected to a small laptop or net book. However, that aside this is an all around fantastic device.

I am not sure if it was a DOA but I could net get the card to be detected on a Win 8 pc and a Win 7 pc. So off it went back for a refund. The updated Win 8 drivers did not help either.

Great usb dongle for dual band wireless and it looks great on any computer. Only grip is if you have to use the flexible cord to fit it in places. The weight of the dongle weighs it down.

bought this because my old adapter was having issues keeping a constant connection. this one runs cool and has great reception. the usb dongle is a nice touch, allows you to change the position of the usb somewhat while connected to get better reception. good buy.

it has a good wireless reception, and it works on both 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. it comes with a flexible usb extension to adjust the angle of the wireless adapter to get the best reception.
