When the wireless router D-Link DIR-645 appeared in our lab it was long before we were rid of a feeling of something old and nice – it looked very much like a coffee-grinder or a thermos or even an electric kettle without a handle and a spout.

Was reluctant to buy D-Link again after getting a rather crappy D-Link router with poor signal and fake dual-band last time. However, the smart beam technology was appealing due to the location of one computer at the edge of my network range. It seems to work fairly well... doing slightly better than the wireless G network that I had. Was hoping for more given that it's N, but at least it's something.
Bought the router to stream video to my TV, with a Trendnet Gaming Adapter for the far end. The link to the TV is solid. Never a problem. Connecting it to my Telus Gigaset SE567 wasn't easy though. Telus hides the page to set the device in bridge mode so it took a while to set it up properly.

I replaced an old Dlink 625 with this one. The smart beam technology did add 1 extra bar of signal which reduced the likelihood of sudden disconnects.

Defective software, video games or DVDs
will be replaced by the SAME title and format ONLY (and subject

video games and DVDs may be returned within 30 days only if the
item is UNOPENED (with shrink wrap still intact) at the sole discretion
of NCIX.com.
