im writing this for my friend and this is pretty much the monitor that i would recommend you guys getting for a nice budget build given it has a very low price when on sale and overall is built very well. its not as adjustable as my other PA238Q monitor but thats another 100 dollars more

This is a quality monitor and true to what one would expect from Asus. I upgraded from a old 19" viewsonic (the 2006 model that ended up to be a faulty model...though my own last for six years before the black flickering began) and I must say I am very pleased with the purchase. there were no issues connecting the monitor at all, indeed it was a breeze as expected. I am a gamer so I have put the monitor through it's paces with Skyrim, Arkham City, Minecraft, Assassin's Creed (2, Brotherhood and Revelations), Crysis 2 and Dead island; it has performed very well, the color and clarity of the games top notch (all settings were maxed). if you haven't used a monitor larger than 19" or a widescreen before it is very convenient in that you can size multiple windows to the single screen easily and still be able to work with no difficulty. the only thing i will say in that with the included mount the bottom of the screen is only about 4" above the surface on my desk and it took a little bit to get used to. I would have preferred to wall mount it but had no room. Top Quality product, would purchase again and probably will for a dual set up
