i got it comboed with a psu, the price very quite nice. The radiator fan is supposed to be 100% powered all time, so it may produce a bit of noise, since its exposed at the back. the instruction booklet is very unclear. It took me 3 hours to figure out how to put it on my asus p8z77-V. My frd got a fan style cpu heatsink for about the same price, and the temperature is even lower during stress test

So I ordered this unit along with every other pieces to build myself a new system. The unit worked fine at the beginning. But then, 2-3 days later it started to make a very loud grinding sound while operating.
If its on sale for $40, its a pretty decent alternative to some air coolers. Its definitely quieter than my old A50 and provides slightly better temps, but in the end, buying a H40 is more of a splurge for giggles than it is for performance benefits. Backplate and mounting system was somewhat confusing and cheap. It lacked cooling for push pull. I would probably only recommend it for the 'cool' factor or small form factor systems.

Pump is noisy. Retuned it the next day. Retailer confirmed the noise by connecting pump power to a running mobo, and accepted it for refund without further questions.
Supplied fan is to loud and I swapped it for the case fan as it is quieter. Pump motor for liquid makes a grinding noise which isn't that loud but really annoying and you can feel vibration on touching it.
When installing I had to supply significant pressure to the mounting back plate to warp it a little so it would line-up with all four screw holes. However, once installed the unit is very secure.

Product Warranty
NCIX provides a 30 day limited warranty on this product. The remainder of the 1 year warranty is provided by the manufacturer.
Corsair's DRAM memory modules all carry a lifetime warranty. The Flash Voyager, Flash ReadOut, TurboFlash, Flash Survivor and Mini Flash products all have a warranty for the expected normal life of the product (10 years). The Flash Padlock has a warranty of 3 years. The HX, TX, and VX Series of Power Supplies have a 5 year warranty, and Liquid Cooling products carry a one year warranty. In general, this means Corsair products are guaranteed to operate, as specified by their datasheet, and in the operating environment for which they were intended, for the life of the product or the extent of the warranty.
