If you have viewed the LG 3D Cinema TVs at best buy, this is exactly the same experience for viewing videos and movies. I didn't try 3D games, but the tridef software works well with playing movies and viewing 3d images. However you have to set the monitor into interlaced mode for best results, it does in software what the monitor does in hardware, converting everything to interlaced 3D. So if you have a side by side video and use tridef, it will display each frame by converting the side by side image into one with the left image using the even lines and the right using the odd lines or vice versa. If 3D is off on the monitor and you use the tridef player you may get poor results.
