I bought this to replace my old hard drive, and it works great so far. You also get lots of space to work with, and its pretty cheap as well.

I have much experience buying hard drives. I've used drives from Seagate, WD and Maxtor and in my experience, Seagate is hands-down the winner in reliability. WD drives have crashed on me many times, even when they were new, like the one that came with my Dell XPS8300. After I re-installed Windows and everything else, I cloned everything to this Seagate drive. I noticed right away that boot-up was much faster (1.5 to 2x the speed, in fact). This is an enterprise, which is supposed to be Seagate' most reliable.
