Netgear's N750 is a throughput thoroughbred in the 5 GHz band. Performance at the 2.4 GHz band is slightly above average with other top 2.4 GHz routers on the market. Advanced features and easy setup makes the N750 a router to easily recommend, despite anemic NAS capabilities.

Though the maximum theoretical throughput is rated at 300Mbps on 2.4 band, and 450Mbps on the 5GHz band, I am getting 150Mbps on the 5 band... which is actually VERY impressive. I am approximately 10' from the N750 router while using a non-Netgear branded USB adapter (Asus USB-N53 dual-band 300) and I was able to file-copy a large 8GB movie from a dedicated NAS to my desktop in 7 minutes y 18.75MB/s (150Mbit/s) on the 5GHz band with Frames Bursting ON. In comparison, my D-Link DIR-655 was able to reach only 5MB/s (40Mbit/s) with an internal D-Link DWA-552 Xtreme PCI Wireless N adapter at the same distance with various different channels. As an FYI, I can get close to 350Mbps using Gigabit wired LAN from my NAS.

I purchased the wndr4000 to replace my broken engenius eub9855g, needless to say I'm very impressed thus far. I can easily stream 1080p movies through windows media center on the xbox 360 without any lag issues. Gaming has become much more enjoyable after the purchase as well.
I am very impressed with how stable this router is. I haven't had it for too long but it was absolutely easy to setup (manual setup) i am sure it would have been even easier to setup if i had used the accompanying cd. The firmware that it ship with is the best firmware for it at the moment though there is a new firmware. I upgraded from a Dgl 4500 that i had nothing but problems with.
