Lasted in service for about 4 months with a system of 3 hard drives. Then a burning smell and dead computer. Even though there is a good warranty, I will not replace it with this particular model.

I've had this power supply for just a week under 3 years, when it suddenly quit on me. And by quit I mean made three loud bangs accompanied by bright flashes of light and a burning smell. Luckily it was just the power supply that went. Nothing like a computer-imploding moment like that to make me realize I need to back up my photos and files!
Outstanding PSU. Cable length is never going to be a problem. I put this in a ATX case and managed to run cables all the way to the opposite corner without needing to run the cables over the mobo.
