for the price this thing does the job pretty well, looks pretty sturdy too, too bad it looks so ugly and it's not more compact but hey, you still get a lot for what you pay

Excellent price is the best reason for this purchase. Also have a couple of older computers in the house that work great still. This is a great pocket traveller as it has a slip case to protect the USB plug. Small enough not to be notices in the pocket, so be carefull it does not end up in the wash with your clothes. It works great for loading as well as drag and drop. The computer always wants to load driver for this device. It only takes a few seconds and it's probly good if your going to encript your info.

Works out of box, got avg read speed of 20MB/sec. Good for transfering files around since most people have USB2.0 still. For $8, this is good.
