Western digital is known to make quality products and this is no different. usb 3.0 speeds are incredible and this item is nice and compact for extra portability.

1 Terrabyte in this small a package, and it runs silently too. Transfer speeds are great, and the simple clean design adds to an overall excellent product.
Bought this for my wife to do data back-up with after the hdd on her desktop died and she lost some files. (I do have another external hdd but she was not using it) This drive is small enough for her to slip into her purse and take to college if she needs to. We now have our important pics & data backed up onto two external drives so I would hope we will not lose anything else.

I bought it for movies and music and it's just perfect USB 3.0 is so fast and totally worth it. I can now transfer 10GB in less than 1min and overall for 99.99 i'm totally satisfied with it

I like the fact that the hd is usb 3. The transfer speeds are great! The main issue I have with it is the cable that is needed to plug it into the usb port has a proprietary connector on the hard drive side. And since the connection at the hd is very poor, it would be nice to be able to buy a replacement cable. I find myself having to firmly push on that connector for my computer to even recognize the drive now. I would have recommended it the first couple weeks I had it, but now there is no way I would buy another one of these.
1TB in a 2.5" enclosure. What more could an IT guy ask for when portable workers need more storage space on the go. It's the best thing for people on the go. Lots of space, light weight, and works without having to plug an external brick.
