Introduction

I mostly bought this for aesthetic purposes as I only used it to fill the small nooks and crannies in my R3 case. it worked rather well and was easy to cut even bits to fit around my cougar vortex fan(which is semi round). As for how well it absorbs noise, it's hard to tell as my case was already outfitted rather well. Made for a good easy and cheap just for fun project.

Does it work? Ehh, not really. All it does essentially is muffle the sound, since you obviously can't cover up case fans in it, (without impeding airflow) which 9/10 people want to reduce the sound of. You'd be better off with something like a fan controller and spend a few dollars more.

This is a perfect example of poor design. The foam is too light and too thin to do much in the way of damping noise. In contrast, the adhesive is industrial strength and very unforgiving if it accidentally touches any surface. That makes the foam virtually impossible to remove if it touches any surface. That includes body parts, clothing and case parts where you don't want it stuck.

This stuff doesn't do a whole lot for noise, but it's a great value at ~$10 after PM. It can get your system to "silent" if you're really close but not quite there. It's very easy to use as well.
