The UltraAV® Active DisplayPort to DVI Single-Link active* adapter features a protocol converter that accepts a single-mode DisplayPort output from your video source such as a PC or laptop computer. Using your DVI cable, connect the adapter to a DVI monitor or projector.
The adapter works with all DVI-D single-link monitors, displays and projectors, supporting a display resolution of up to WUXGA (1920x1200) at 8 bits of color per component. The UltraAV adapter offers user friendly and seamless conversion between a DisplayPort graphic source and DVI display device.

I have an ASUS P8Z77-V Deluxe motherboard which has an HDMI and a DisplayPort connector. I wanted to connect a second monitor and tried a passive DisplayPort to DVI cable but it did not work. I purchased this active adapter and my system immediately recognized the second monitor.

Glad I didn't buy a expensive one as this one does Exactly what it needs to do...now if only more games (Skyrim, I am looking at you) supported triple display setups without extensive modding.

I used it to hook up my third monitor to my 6850, the first two used DVI. It does the job great, and is not too expensive. If you need to set up eyefinity, this is the adapter for you.

I got this so I could have eyefinity with my 3 - 24" screens and EVERYTHING WORKED. So right off the bat I saved money not having to buy the $100+ unit. Catalyst saw everything and was able to create the desktop group, enabling the eyefinity.
Recommended option if you don't have the coin to buy the expensive unit.

Not much to say other than it works. If you need an active dp to dvi converter for a somewhat low resolution monitor, this does the trick with no problems.

Defective software, video games or DVDs

item is UNOPENED (with shrink wrap still intact) at the sole discretion
