This is a decent thumb drive. It is not the fastest out there, but I have definitely worked with much slower. For the price, it is more than acceptable. For 10 bucks with a price match, how can you go wrong ?

extreme value for 16gb at this price, speed is decent i just mainly use it for transferring pictures and videos no big deal that i need to wait, i dont have a cd rom i used this to boot win7 which this drive does no problem

I'm pretty pleased with this purchase - I've been waiting a while for 16GB drives to hit a realistic price, and this one doesn't disappoint. The shape doesn't really appeal to me, but I have to admit it works well - it fits into crowded USB ports next to other "normal" sized plugs without issue, and the casing is very strong. I haven't tested the speed, but I have it formatted as NTFS to accept >4GB files and it seems quick enough.
It's your basic stick though I tend to stick with Kingston because I have never had a Kingston stick die on me. I think they're one of the best brands in portable memory. This stick has a high capacity and I use it to store photos/music and even movies/tv shows. With flash drives, always make sure to have a backup though. Got this for 8 bucks on sale, its decent value. I picked up the 8 GB sticks for 3 bucks and just turned them into little operating system boot drives for my apple computers.
