Introduction

very well made fan with great airflow.2 speed switch attached and works well to slow fan to a quiet speed but a pain to hide or mount in non silverstone case

I originally bought these for my Raven RV01 but have since moved them into my HAF X. I installed one as the side-panel intake fan and in the 1200RPM setting it dropped my GPU load temps (GTX 580 SLI) by 13C.
I replaced one of the stock fans in Fortress FB02 with this fan (right beneath the GPU). With the stock fan, its hard to tell the difference between high and low fan setting, but with this fan, you can definitely hear the the difference. But even then, its pretty quiet and the noise will be drowned by your GPU noise anyway. But, the result is only -1-2C for GPU, not as dramatic change as you would expect from increased fan noise...

I can't really compare the effectiveness of the stock 180's or the AP181's in the Raven, but I did notice that my temperatures are much better than what I would typically get in a regularly-oriented case. And the noise, albeit slightly loud, is not annoying at all due to it just being air movement rather than bearing noise.
