Lets start on the good because It outweighs the bad. This camera has a great stand that can be suitable for nearly every situation. the cables are long enough to reach your computer on the floor. The picture quality will not upset you, and the video is very good as well.
Now the auto focus needs to be turned off on this camera. It is not functioning and will drive you mad. It is easy to do just look it up on YouTube.

i wanted to use this as a dash camera, but with the auto focus constantly trying to find movement..when im stopped at a red light...itll get all blurry
The auto-focus is broken and it does not seem like it will be fixed by firmware.
Because of this, you need to install Microsoft's crap software to turn it off. If you are in a situation with multiple people, or if you are moving about in front of the camera, the lack of autofocus will mean it is often ever so slightly out of focus. Nothing big, the quality is still good, but since there are other similar options at this price point it is hard to recommend this faulty product from Microsoft.

For $35 you can't really fault this webcam. It's leaps and bounds better than anything else at its price point. The only gripe I have is that the autofocus is terrible. If you don't turn it off the camera will go out of focus and back every ~30 seconds. The rubber stand thing works pretty well and I was surprised by just how small the thing is. Overall, if you're looking for a cheap webcam buy this one.

This is a fantastic webcam - the quality difference over a non-HD webcam in clarity is astounding. Definitely worth the price difference, especially when this is on sale for $50 or less!!
