Hyper 101 comes with two direct contact heat pipes and dual fan design to provide efficient cooling performance. Hyper 101 comes in different versions – Intel, AMD or universal sockets; fixed speed fan or PWM fan.
Maximum compatible CPU wattage: over 70W TDP.
2 x Direct Contact heat-pipes with aluminum fins for excellent heat dissipation.
Outstanding cooling performance with compact heat sink dimension that fits into mid-tower chassis.

For the price, this is an excellent buy. Much more efficient than the stock heat sink, if you want a standard heatsink and do not overclock too much, this is perfect.

I got this in a bundle deal with a Phenom II 960T. It keeps the chip nice and cool with the fan, but can't cool it sufficiently without the fan. I might be able to remedy that by undervolting a little more; I haven't had enough time to really play with it. It might be adequate on a 65w chip, and I'm certain it could passively cool a 45w or less without the fan.
Got it basically for free, so cant really complain. Way better than a stock cooler, but if you looking to really overclock your stuff then maybe spend a little extra and get a better one.

In the end it was the price that got me to buy it. It was a very nice cooler for my other computer. I am hopefully going to get another one soon for all of my family's computer to replace their stock cooler. In general its pretty quiet
