The Obsidian Series 800D is built to last through years of motherboard, power, memory, cooling, and component upgrades.
The steel structure has a matte black coating both inside out and is finished with a brushed aluminum faceplate for a professional look that’s both serious and awe-inspiring. A windowed side panel makes it easy to show off your work.
Three Isolated Cooling Zones
The power supply compartment, main compartment and the SATA bays each have dedicated cooling subsystems to prevent heat buildup.
A dust-filtered 140mm fan draws in cold air at the bottom of the chassis and exhausts it at the rear and top. This clever design forces fresh air directly over the graphics card and CPU. The SATA hot-swap bays are cooled by a separate 140mm fan which vents from the chassis via a sealed chamber and prevents the heat generated by the drives from entering the main compartment. The power supply compartment has its own dedicated intake and exhaust, also isolated from the main compartment.
Need even more cooling performance? The Obsidian Series 800D has pre-drilled support for top-mounted single, dual, and triple radiators, or up to three additional 120mm fans.
Advanced Features for Extreme Flexibility
A four-drive SATA hot-swap drive bay sits in the front of the case, making it easier to install or swap hard drives on the fly. A unique cable routing system virtually eliminates cable clutter that can impede airflow. The tool-free design allows for easy entry, easy access, and quick installation of 5.25” drives.

Corsair have come a long way in the past few years and each expansion into another product area tends to be successful for them. The Obsidian 800D continues that trend due to its exceptional build quality and ease of use.

2 great videos showing the new case. I love the cable management system in this.To top it off a removable cover to get at the back plates if your swapping out a new heatsink!

I just built a new system using this case and was thoroughly impressed. Extra space made hardware installation and cable management easy. The case is also designed to facilitate Corsairs water cooling systems which I took advantage of to install an H100i. The stock chassis fans included are also very quiet.
My only qualms are the plastic locking clips for the 5.25 drive bays are pretty flimsy. I almost broke one getting it to lock in place. And it would have been nice to have the dust filter on the bottom air intake slide out to the side of the case instead of the back.

Corsair designs cases that are very well thought out and this one is no exception. It has watercooling in mind and I have been able to fit a custom water loop in this case.

Love this product. It was my dream case (sounds funny doesn't it?). But yea it's the only case where i've seen and fell in love with it right away. I love how easy installing everything is, and the parts look great without all the clutter. Although big, it leaves room for improvement, excellent product.

I love this case, i built a whole new computer using this case and it looks great. The cable management is wonderful, especially with my modular power supply. this case has lots of room to put whatever you want inside and the hotswap hard drive bays are nice. I think there could be a bit more room on the outside for cables because with some of the connectors getting stuck in there it make it bend a tad, but its no big deal. All in all, im very happy with this case. i understand its pricey, but its VERY worth it.

This is an excellent case overall but I must warn those of you considering purchase. Corsair has built a intermediary circuit board to facilitate hard drive plug and play in the main drive bay. It essentially cuts of any alternative access for sata and power supply. This is fine under normal circumstances, but what happened was during installation, the series sata power connector broke while I was trying to install the plastic cover and my first clue about said malfunction came when I turned on the computer and was greeted by a spark and some smoke. (Apparently it was the broken connector alone, and, thankfully not my expensive hardware)
Anyway, in vivid retrospect, the clearance between the plastic cover door and the inserted sata power cable is way to stingy, even with diligent manipulation. With the power connector broken, the only way I could get my power cables inside the drive bay was to warp the metal structure with a large screwdriver and push the necessary cables inside. (it still looks ok as I did it with nearly unnoticeable damage.) But the bottom line is that this is an Achilles heel. the cable is series and not parallel as the box picture would have you to believe. Combine this with the non-existence clearance the plastic cover door has on the sata cable and you have one very credible design flaw.

This case is good, but for the price I was disappointed that the hdd cover door sticks and they don't include any ssd mounting screws. This is one of the most expensive cases out there, so that's pretty disappointing.

Great case with lots of room. Pick up ahem you order or buy locally as shipping will be expensive. Fits 2 video cards easily. Front hot swap bays are handy if you wish to do backups with internal drives where capacity is cheaper than external.

Product Warranty
First 30 days limited warranty through NCIX.com. The remainder of the two year warranty is provided directly by the manufacturer.
Corsair's DRAM memory modules all carry a lifetime warranty. The Flash Voyager, Flash ReadOut, TurboFlash, Flash Survivor and Mini Flash products all have a warranty for the expected normal life of the product (10 years). The Flash Padlock has a warranty of 3 years. The HX, TX, and VX Series of Power Supplies have a 5 year warranty, and Liquid Cooling products carry a one year warranty. In general, this means Corsair products are guaranteed to operate, as specified by their datasheet, and in the operating environment for which they were intended, for the life of the product or the extent of the warranty.
