Aside from the bank of OLED keys, the Sabre is a pretty standard 103-key unit. The board’s bezel is dark gray with a smooth black wrist rest area lining the lower portion.

Works fine on Windows 7, just make sure to install with admin privileges. OLED keys are intuitive and can be rather clever. With the $75 rebate it was totally worth the $10 shipping costs. I look forward to using it more!

The fancy aspect of this keyboard is the OLEDs. However, OCZ dropped support for this keyboard and only provide drivers for Vista (32/64). Those have been tested by many users and me, and do not work. Do not hope that those drivers will work on Win7 since they're made for Vista, they won't.
Keyboard works, but the OLED macro keys didn't since there wasn't any driver support for Windows 7. I bought this as a bundle with a OCZ power supply. Would probably not pay regular price for the keyboard.

I feel totally cheated with this purchase. Like some others I found drivers that were supplied do not all work in Win7. The s/w for setting up the OLED keys also does not function in Win7. Strangely, perhaps unique to my 770TA Gigabyte MB but unlikely so, function keys like Del and F12 do not work during boot so you need a second keyboard handy. According to the OCZ toll-free support staff, this product is out of production and there are no plans for updated drivers. Do not buy unless you have and plan to keep Vista forever.

I've been using the keyboard for a month now. It looks nice but the OLED keys are useless and feels cheap. Also, the lights on the sides don't turn off when you shutdown the PC. Promising keyboard but it feels unpolished, OCZ should have spent more time on it before releasing it. I will probably purchase another keyboard to replace it soon.

As others have noted, the glaring problem with this keyboard is OCZ still hasn't released any form of Windows 7 support. I wasn't aware of this on purchase and was hopeful it would work fine due to the similarities to Vista, and at first the keypad actually seemed to function properly. However it soon began to act in extremely random ways - pressing a key to get to another layer menu would sometimes bring up the wrong keys, or half right/half wrong key arrangements, or not respond entirely. Returning to the global layer (top layer of 9 keys) would sometimes take 1 press, sometimes more, randomly depending on what menu I was currently pressing it from. Numerous other weird and quasi-functional issues with the keypad. If you're a Windows 7 user looking to make use of the keypad, steer clear until OCZ gives it support.
I bought this keyboard to replace a dying 5 years old saitek eclipse. The letters on the old saitek would fade after long use, but I hope it isn't a common problem. The keys on this board feel very firm so it's comfortable for gaming. The weight of this keyboard is acceptable, not as heavy the professional ones but a good balance between the pro board and portability. The nine OLED are large and customizable. which makes them more attractive. Due to their large size it's not ideal for macro keys unless you only set up one key.
The biggest issue which this keyboard is the software. This board has been in the market since Summer 09 and as of now (May 2010) no windows 7 compatible software have been release. It works perfectly fine in Vista. One would think the program should work flawlessly due to overlapping coding between windows 7 and vista, unfortunately it's not a case here. The software will only function in admin access and the "invert keys tab" needs to be reset each restart. Also the blue LED lights doesn't turn off when you shut down. A big concern for people who sleep near their computer. The problem doesn't end yet, if you're not tech savvy you might have difficulty understanding the software, it's not user friendly and you must read the manual. But once that is done, the software is very simple.

I bought this awhile back it's a decent gaming keyboard for the price. For 49.99$ it totally worth it but anything more than there are better keyboards.
