I got this processor paired up with a RADEON HD 6950 and 12 GB of RAM for primarily HD Gaming and this machine simply destroys anything you throw at it. The games are flawless and run silky smooth. Ultra Settings for all games and without a hiccup.
Not much to say other than it's pretty perfect for me as I play a lot of games while streaming and watch movies at the same time. I have this with ASUS P6X58D-E X58 ATX LGA1366 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1, Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-160, and GeForce GTX 570 732MHZ 1280MB 3.8GHZ GDDR5. It's been working flawlessly.

For my recent pro build, i chose this cpu as i knew it would reach 4gh with ease, with a Corsair H70 it did 61-63C deg under 100% load at 3750mhz and a lil bit more at 4k.Overall a very good chip, no doubt it could go a bit more with better cooling. Recommended.

This chip is being run on the ASUS X58 Sabertooth with 6gigs of dominator 1600 ram. Saphire Raddeon HD 6950. I don't ever see it go above 33% usage. Best bang for the buck out there.

"Better to have not need it than need it and not have it" so I bought this CPU. There isn't many program out there that would take advantage of all the cores and threads this CPU had to offer. Should-da buy something more suited to what I use everyday but I like the i7-9xx and x58 chipset. Until AMD have something faster, Intel will continue to be my choice. (There's also a 15% restocking fee** "Thank you for using NCIX".)

Coming from a P4 3.0 to this is simply amazing. Running it on a MSI big bang xpower i 4.0 ghz ( baseclock i 200 multi at 20) at 1.25 Volts 100% stable ( prime 95 verified) with 12 gigs of corsair dominator ddr1600. Runs cool and quiet, core temps in the low 60's under 100% load (according to realtemp)

Have this safely overclocked on a H50 cooler at 4ghz. Runs well, but temps are a little warmer than I would like. Definitely look at getting a decent cooler on this thing and you will be laughing! Great buy
