Great review, guy reaches 4.0ghz with a TRUE Copper and this board. Also a good conversation about the bandwidth between the PCI-E lanes, being 16x/8x/4x/8x. Definitely worth a look!

This board does support 3-way SLI and Crossfire, however, if either or, even in dual form, are of interest to you I would probably look else where. The EVGA X58 SLI LE is an excellent board with a ton of great features and flexibility, but it is also designed for those people with budgets for boards sub-$300. In other words, it is an entry level enthusiast board, and it does a great job of including a lot for relatively little coin.
I just put a core i7 930 build in this mobo and I'm very happy with it. EVGA did a great job of packaging and giving you a great manual as well as board map. Everything was easy to install in it. I love the right angle SATA connectors and the postilion of the power cables. All the Front panel connectors were easy to hook up. The only thing I don't liek on this board is that the PCIe lanes are 'locked' so they don't adapt speed to where you put your cards.

This is my first EVGA board and, from what I've seen so far, it won't be my last. MB manufacturers seem to have come light years with the enthusiast crowd. For instance, It blew me away that this board had a CMOS reset button on the board AND the back panel. What a thoughtful detail. No more jumper BS!!!! I was also impressed by the fact that there were power and reset switches on the mobo. But not only that, the power one lights up and the reset one flashes for HDD activity.
I made the mistake of buying this board the week it was released when most sites listed the PCIE slot speeds as x16/x8/x8/x8. It turns out that the slots actually run at fixed speeds of x16/x8/x4/x8. This means that most SLI users are stuck running their cards jammed together in slots 1 and 2, covering the sole x1 PCIE and PCI slots and leaving about a 1/4" for airflow between the cards. For kicks I tried my GTX 260s in slots 1 and 3... temps on card 1 dropped almost 10 degrees, but my Vantage score dropped from 20,500 to 19,200. Why EVGA would choose to make slot 4 run at x8 is beyond me... you can't put a dual slot card in there anyway (the card would have nowhere to vent in most cases, and it would block access to the USB/firewire/power & reset connections along the bottom of the motherboard). Those extra 4 lanes would have been much more welcome in slot 3 to allow for proper x8 SLI or tri-SLI. This board does overclock well (3.8 with a D0 without even really trying), but multi-GPU users should look elsewhere.

While this board is jam packed with features for an amazing price, you can see where they saved money, on the accessories. You only get 2 SATA cables (bare minimum) which is kinda stupid when your paying 300 for a board. and another stupid thing is the placement of the front panel audio. It's right above the 1st PCI-e all the way to the far left, so the audio cable has to stretch across your board, making to look sloppy.
