Great little speakers, especially for the price. This is my 4th set of Edifier speakers, and have always been impressed with the price/performance (these are the lowest-end ones I've bought.)
They have the plus of being a Canadian company- when the remote for one of my other speakers broke after being abused by my 3 year old, they provided me with a new one free of charge. Very nice people.

I've used Edifiers since I bought some 2.1D speakers years and years ago. Wanted a small set for the office - and boy are these better than I expected! Solid build, looks are professional and clean, and sound is excellent! Add that I was able to PM these to a much lower price and I don't think there is a better deal for desktop speakers.
Fantastic value. Speakers are made of mdf (wood) instead of plastic so they don't feel or sound cheap. Great sound for 2.0, to get better sound you'll probably have to spend over $75

For an inexpensive sub-$20 set of speakers these are a good deal.
Most other brands use cheap plastic enclosures with no weight so they are constantly dragged around with the cables, these are wood cabinets with some weight.

I bought these for my parents' and younger sibling's basic internet browsing computers. These are built very well, and for the price (pricematched) I would definitely buy again. Just make sure to adjust your expectations before purchasing these, keep its price in mind!

These are really the bare minimum I'd consider giving away with a system. They sound decent - you really notice it when checking them out with a movie or Skype. Unlike most 2.0 speakers, they can go fairly loud without crackling or other artifacts. I'd say they're usable up to about 6 feet away.
I mostly use my headphone setup for listen to music and watching movies, and bought this as a suppliment when I dont want to put my headphone on all the time. For the price, it looks really good.
