How does PST lower the temperature of the entire case?
CPU and VGA cards nowadays generate increasing amount of heat which leads to high case ambient temperature. Some users will use more case fans to cool down the case. However, this will produce more noise, and energy will be wasted as all fans run at full speed even after the case temperature is lowered.
Using the new ARCTIC F Pro PWM fan can solve these problems without any hassles. Firstly, with PWM signal, the fan runs at necessary speed according to the CPU load. Furthermore, thanks to the innovative patented PST function, up to 5 fans (including CPU fans) can be connected to the ARCTIC F Pro PWM fan. The speed of all the fans in this PST system is now centrally controlled by a single PWM signal via BIOS.
As a result, when the system load increases, all fans in the PST system will run faster to lower the case temperature. Likewise, when the load is low, fan speed will be lower at a necessary speed for sufficient cooling.

this fan is the quietest ratio price/noise. be aware that it can't be mounted in another way then extract air from the PC. that alone removes a star.

This is a good case fan for the price. it works well and does what it is supposed to. Have it on back of case right beside my HSF. The only problem with it is that it can only blow air out of the case whick is a bummer for some people.

I bought new desktops with these installed, as well as several extra to replace the fans in some existing towers. You have to be really careful when mounting them, because the frame where you fasten the fan to the case is very cheap plastic, and the screws can easily damage it. The result if the holes get damaged in anyway is that it becomes nearly impossible to secure all four corners without causing the fan to come into contact with the frame at all speeds, or at certain speeds. The sound it produces when it contacts the side of the frame is horrible.
I like the fans very much, but due to their size they were a bit of a hassle installing into one of the vents on the case. Would recommend them for how quiet they are.

Not much to say hear buy this fan looks sexy in the case, is very quiet and comes with a 6 year warranty. Be warned, this fan can only be used as a exhaust fan in the case; if you're looking to buy this fan to be used as an intake fan for your case it will NOT mount.
