Very good product. I use this to connect from another GBit switch (the 8 port version of it) to a TV, PS3, home theatre system, and a TV receiver that is always sending data. Never any performance issues on the other devices even when the one port is always receiving HD TV content.

I haven't had a single issue. This switch cannot be killed. Believe me my network is constantly under heavy loads but this tiny lil switch refuses to stop functioning. VERY good product.

Good little switch for home or SOHO applications. Using this connected to a DIR-655 router and it works great. I have two computers and a network laser printer all going through this and have had no problems. Just as good as the 8 port version. The picture in the description is the older version, this one is only as wide as the 5 ports.

This thing works exactly as described. I prefer metal case switches so that when they fall off your computer or get whacked they are fine. I bought this for doing overnight backups to my second computer. The 1gb transfer makes backing up movies a breeze.

Got this to upgrade a network to GB and it works like a charm. Tripled the transfer speeds on the network. Netgear is a good brand too, better than getting a cheap consumer brand switch.

This little unit works great. It supports jumbo frames so if your gigabit adapters also support this, you will see a significant improvement on read and write speeds over the network, particularly for larger file transfers. As others have mentioned, the units are Version 2's meaning the unit is only as wide as the 5xRJ-45 ports.

Bought this to upgrade my LAN to gigabit and so far it has been working well. The casing of the switch is made of metal, not plastic; quite sturdy. Very small footprint and non-intrusive. Had no problems connecting 2 PCs, a Mac and a router

This works great. I like the solid build of this switch - I feel like I could drop it and the floor would be dammaged, not the switch. It is very compact (picture not good on website), which is also good for me, but the LEDs layout may not please everyone (integrated with the connectors)
