The HighPoint RocketRAID 2300 PCI Express to SATA II RAID Controller is the next generation for high performan- ce computing solutions utilizing the latest interconnect technology PCI-Express.
The RocketRAID 2300 is set to give much faster and improved I/O and supports features that are critical for high performance computing, high end workstation and enterprise storage server environments.
PCI Express delivers data transfer in both directions simulta- neously with its serial data transfer system and brings with it higher clock speeds.
Each expansion slot in PCI Express can have several channels which gives plenty of room for expansion. There is also the
same data rate in both directions providing the performance and scal-ability for the next decade.
The HighPoint RocketRAID 2300 Controller offers 4 internal ports that combine high-performance storage connectivity of Serial ATA with HighPoint's advanced RAID features, includi-ng, Online Capacity Expansion, Online RAID Level Migration (OCE/ORLM) and HighPoint's RAID Management software. The RocketRAID 2300 supports advanced RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 10 and JBOD for maximum configuration flexibility.
HighPoint offers the broadest range of support for all major operating systems to ensure OS and hardware server comp-atibility. Drivers are available for all major operating systems, including Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X. Open source is also providedfor Linux and FreeBSD.

Raid5 3 disks has worked like a charm so far. Can not comment on rebuild option, nothing has crashed yet. My Intel on board Raid5 has had to rebuild twice in the same time frame. I am getting an other one to move all Raid to the Pci-e bus.

Defective software, video games or DVDs
