Using this along with a 24 port netgear to service a far away bedroom needing multiple ports. Rock solid feeel to it - best made 8 port switch i have ever owned will buy another when I need it.

Had one of these and one GS116, this one lasted about 2 years and the 116 maybe 2 1/2 or 3 years, they just stop working one day. Ended up losing some data thanks to windows delayed write failures - lucky I make daily backups!
I wanted a simple switch that did what it was supposed to. Easy to install, reliable. What else could I ask for? Would buy this model again. It's much smaller and better built that the older Netgear hubs and switches.

Overall it works great. it was very simple to setup and replaced my older 5 port switch. It is more reliable and throughput is definitely better than what i used to get before.
